Production Update - Tooling is Done but not Finished!

The manufacturer has produced 10 units for quality, fit, and functional testing. This is to say the mold (the injection mold or tooling) is done but will undergo the necessary tweaks that will be discovered before it is finished and ready to do a first production run.

Production Updates - April 19, 2018

On my recent visit to the manufacturers shop on April 17th, I was able to see the updated progress on the tooling. Pictured is the near complete injection mold that will be capable of creating over 100,000 units. The mold is relatively complex and requires actuated motors to move pieces in order to automate the creation of the parts.

We have begun setting up our end of the production side by optimizing the assembly where we can and doing all we can do before the samples arrive in a effort to hit the ground running when we receive the molded parts.

The Mag Feeder is in the Tooling Phase!

I got a call on my drive to work from the manufacturer with great news! He proceeded to inform me that they are beginning the tooling for the mold on The Mag Feeder. I was so excited I could have crashed and died and it wouldn't have ruined my day (ok maybe just a little)!

KEEPING IT STATE SIDE

The Preorder sale of The Mag Feeder will extend the duration of the time the tooling takes to be made in America. Yes, I could have gone to China or Mexico at this point and completed the tooling and started manufacturing The Mag Feeder, but I feel like if every company sells out then who is left to keep America turning. Not saying that my one little act to hold out for American tooling will forever save the American economy but if more companies used this logic it would make a difference.
